The Memorial Service for our beloved Akka will be held at Tisarana Buddhist Monastery at 1pm on Monday, May 1st. Luang Por Viradhammo, our teacher and abbot of the monastery, will preside.
Our home is just not big enough to accommodate Akka’s wide circle of friends so we have decided to get together at the Maberly Community Hall to mark the occasion of Akka’s death and give thanks for her life. Please join us for lovingly prepared savouries and music from 2:30 – 4:30 pm.
This is a casual, alcohol-free afternoon event. If you wish, please bring a momento to add to the shrine in honour of our dear friend, big sister, eldest daughter, bestest mother and loving grandmother.
Akka suggested that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Tisarana Buddhist Monastery, Sati Saraniya Hermitage and The Table Community Food Centre.
